Sara Serna is a visual effects artist from Medellin, Colombia. Her work focuses on handmade collage and she want to show a reinterpretation of the women and the femininity around her. She uses elements like old textures, old papers, real flowers and leaves, fabrics and more in her collages. The outcome is series of dynamic and lively ensembles with a strong essence of past memoirs theming around women figures. Just beautiful.
She has also worked in a “deconstruction” of collage, makes “cut out” stop motion animations of her works, run collage deconstruction workshops and have exhibited her works in different countries.
