Alexander Korzer-Robinson, originally from Germany, is a Bristol based artist, who creates or should I say crafts these insanely detailed and complex yet vivacious collages from Victorian books.

”Using antiquarian books, makes the work at the same time an exploration and a deconstruction of nostalgia.”

He shapes these amazing book sculptures by working through a book, page by page, selecting the right illustrations. He builds the compositions using only the images found in the book, nothing extra added, just removing the excessive materials around the selected illustrations. The images seen in the finished ensembles are left standing in their original place. The results are beautiful, incredible detailed miniature worlds full of little stories.
