Now introduced Phil Carney, is a 30 year old U.K. based collage artist, who has been doing these mesmerising, analog collages for the past four years from cut papers and found images. During that time his works has been showcased across Europe and North America and his works has gathered quite nice coverage in various independent magazines in Europe.

His style is interestingly contrasting and you can see the strong influences by cinema thru the straightforward, very Film noir like, atmospheric storytelling. He crafts the actual story from only few simple pieces and then highlights the emotional charging by composing the final work to these grunge and all torn old book covers. He states that he tries to make narrative works giving the viewer a one frame look into the emotion of a character and he is interested in depicting feelings of loss, desire and the pain of memory between people and places that hold them.
