This time I bring you some mighty cutting talent from Down Under – Millie Bartlet aka Teenage Evangelism is Sydney, Australia based collage artist who has been since 2013.  She told me that she has always made art and created things – She started to paint and sketch and then later found collaging which combined her love of pop culture and politics and commercialism and the immediacy of the form.

She builds the collages from the clippings she cut from the vintage books and magazines, which guarantees very beautifully authentic color scheme and generally old school vibes. Her layering style is very interesting and despite the grungish surface and first impression, she mixes all the elements gracefully together and makes the outcome beautiful and one way very personal. As an artist myself, I’m very fond of the destructed forms and textures and it would be interesting see how see she technically creates them.
