Han Hsu-Tung is a Taiwanese artist who beautifully mixes recognizable elements from modern digital life to a more traditional art form, the wood sculpting. His wood sculptures itself are incredibly beautiful but adding the pixelated distortion to the age-old, organic element, it creates a powerful, mesmerizing dialogue between human and technology.
Skilfully crafted figurative sculptures are assembled from many pieces and wood types. And the brilliant usage of the positive and negative space in the sculptures creates the illusion of vibrancy and motion. His works are like giant wooden puzzles melting seamlessly craftmanship, digital attraction and humanity into one dynamic entity, which live and transform in the eye of the viewer.
