Filip Hodas is Prague, Czech Republic -based illustrator, and 3D artist. His previous series “Pop Culture Dystopia”, a line-up of work about apocalyptic pop culture ruins gained quite a lot of attention around the internet. And now he has created another amazing series that flirts brilliantly with the pop culture…
”Cartoon Fossils” introduces you beautifully rendered skulls of all-time favorite cartoon characters showcased in the museum environment. You have Scrooge McDuck, Popeye, Spongebob Squarepants, Goofy, Minnie Mouse, and Tweety Bird – Each placed to sit nicely on little plinths completed with suitable props and a label with the Latin name for each specimen. I love the detailed worn-out look of the skulls like they are a true ancient relics, which are found and dug up after years and years.
