Now introduced Dorota Gala is a collage artist living and working in Wrocław, Poland. She told me she started to make collages during the pandemic (March 2020) and then in April 2021 she posted her first post on IG.
Her creative process begins by flipping through the various source materials; newspapers, magazines, old calendars, and travel agency brochures. And then, when seeing something suitable, that speaks to her, gives an impulse, or fits into the upcoming reality, she starts to cut and paste to bring alive new characters or abstract new situations. She doesn’t want to impose her interpretations on anyone – instead, she creates moods and you all are invited to play an association game where she is the game master.
