Conor Breen is a collage artist living and working in Dublin, Ireland. After experimenting with various forms of digital art, he discovered and subsequently jumped headfirst into handmade collage last year, and was instantly captivated by its challenges and capabilities as an artistic discipline.
He tells us that while he’s still very much in the early stages of forming his personal style and one consistent aim of his work is to give new meaning and context to each component part of each collage, often through juxtaposition, and ultimately produce pieces of art which provoke a second glance and, most importantly, a second thought in the mind of those who view them. In general his works are simple and strong, with few elements, clever compositions and great colour usage he creates beautiful, sometimes interestingly surreal, ensembles, which leads the viewer on to unknown paths…
